David Green is the Director, Trading and Origination at Xcel Energy in Denver. He is responsible for the optimization and growth of the wholesale trading and origination business for North American power and gas within Xcel.

David has spent his entire career in energy finance, with a specialization in power, gas, oil, REC and emissions derivative trading.  Prior to joining Xcel, he was a Director at Citigroup in the gas and power trading business, a Senior Trader and natural gas option market-maker at Infinium Capital Management, and a Director and Portfolio Manager at Citadel Investment Group.

He holds a B.S.E. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering, with Certificates in Finance and Engineering Management Systems, from Princeton University.
