Graham Davis

Graham DavisGraham A. Davis is Emeritus Professor of Mineral and Energy Economics at the Colorado School of Mines, where he taught and researched for 25 years.

Prior to joining academia Dr. Davis worked as a metallurgical engineer at mines in Canada and Namibia. He holds a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from Queen’s University, an MBA from the University of Cape Town, and a Ph.D. in Mineral Economics from the Pennsylvania State University.

His research areas include mineral and energy asset valuation and the impact of mineral and energy extraction and trade on developing economies. He serves on the Editorial Board of Resources Policy, an international journal devoted to minerals policy and economics, and is an Associate Editor at the Journal of Commodity Markets. He is also President of Davis Economics Group, Inc., a firm providing expert witness services in litigation and arbitration involving mine taxation, contracts, damages, and valuations.
