Our industry partners have generously provided scholarships for students with an interest in commodities education.
Commodities Graduate Certificate Scholarship
For students pursuing the non-degree graduate certificate focused on commodities.
Award amount: $8,000 split across three courses. $1,750 applied towards courses 1 & 2; $4,500 applied towards class 3.
Criteria: Open to all students. Applicants must submit a resume and essay.
Students only need to apply once at the start of the certificate program.
MS Finance / Denver Flex MBA Specialization Scholarship
For students currently pursuing a Commodities Specialization in the Business School MS Finance or Professional MBA programs.
Award amount: $3,000 per graduate CMDT course.
Criteria: Open to all students. Applicants must submit a resume and essay, as well as be in good academic standing in the MS Finance or MBA program.
Students will need to apply each semester they are taking CMDT courses.
Non-Degree Student Scholarship
For students taking a one-off commodities course for professional development or as a CU Denver student pursuing a degree in another college on campus.
Award amount: $1,500 per graduate CMDT course.
Criteria: Open to all students. Applicants must submit a resume and essay.
Students will need to apply each semester they are taking a CMDT course.

Application deadlines for all scholarships:
Spring I: January 20, 2023
Spring II: March 24, 2023
Applications are reviewed twice during the enrollment period. Students will be notified via email of the scholarship decision.
