This page will provide you with important information regarding the Global Energy Management Graduate Certificate and the next steps following your offer of admission.

The Global Energy Management Graduate Certificate is a way to build a career that withstands any energy trend. With over ten years of experience in education, our curriculum cuts across all energy sectors, from power to renewables to oil and gas. Our program’s online format allows you to work anywhere in the world while completing your master’s degree.

In order to receive the Graduate Certificate, students must complete three graduate-level energy courses.

Estimated Program Time Commitment: Minimum of 6 months, depending on how many courses are taken per term. 

Course Registration for Fall 2023 Opens: April 8, 2023

First Day of Fall A Classes: Friday, July 14, 2023

First Day of Fall B Classes: Friday, October 6, 2023

The Global Energy Management Graduate Certificate courses are delivered in a technology-enriched online instructional format. All courses are 100% online, with live virtual sessions during the first four days of the quarter as well as throughout the 10-week quarter. Full schedules for the live sessions are available once course registration is completed.

Certificate students may also attend an optional on-campus residency weekend held at the University of Colorado Denver Business School.

2023-2024 Course Schedule

Tuition is $4,500 USD/per course regardless of state or country of residence, plus an additional ~$185 in university fees. The cost of textbooks is not included in the tuition amount.

Financial aid is not currently available for Non-degree certificate students. However, if a student decides to switch over to the full Global Energy Master of Science graduate degree, they will then become eligible for financial aid. Students may apply for the MS degree at any time.
