Real World Experience

The One Year MBA program provides an experiential learning component as a part of the curriculum. We offer both competitive internships and consulting coursework, where students can apply the knowledge they gained in a classroom to the business world.

Experiential Learning Options

Internships

We partner with local businesses to offer our students competitive paid internships to help you directly apply the knowledge you gain in the classroom to the challenges facing businesses today. The course schedule allows you to participate in competitively available paid internships during the day. Credit can be earned through a series of deliverables throughout the internship.

  • 6 to 10 months in length
  • 20-30 hours of work per week
  • Company partners include a variety of industries
  • Located in metro Denver

Consulting Coursework

Real-world experience is provided to students who will continue to work at their current employer or would like to attend class full-time. A consulting course will be an option for those attending class full-time and will include real-world business projects with local companies.

If you are currently working in a position you’d like to maintain and have flexibility with your working hours, it may be possible to continue working while in the program.

Graduate Assistantships

We also offer graduate assistantships, but these positions will not be considered for academic credit. You will still need to fulfill your experiential learning requirement through an internship or consulting coursework.

Students work directly with faculty or senior staff in a flexible and academically-focused setting. This opportunity is especially relevant for students interested in pursuing a career in higher education.

*Internships are competitive and not guaranteed. Company interviews are conducted early in the program. Compensation, schedule, and timing are negotiated between the company and the student. If you are internship seeking, we highly recommend that you submit your application by May 1 (including GMAT scores).
