This certificate is offered for students or professionals who want to get a head start on their academic career without the commitment of a full graduate program. By completing this certificate, you may be able to waive the GMAT score from your application should you decide to pursue the Denver Flex MBA or Online MBA at CU Denver, if you meet the below criteria.
It is designed to give you a focused business background and update your skillset quickly. You'll earn college credit for each course you successfully complete and a CU Denver certificate upon completion of three courses. Flexible schedules cater to working professionals looking for a part-time option. Courses are eight weeks long.

Additional benefits of the General Business Certificate
Requirements to waive the GMAT: after successfully completing the certificate are the following: complete three classes (9 credits), BUSN 6520, – Leading Individuals & Teams, BUSN 6550 – Analyzing and Interpreting Accounting Information, and any BUSN course numbered 6000 or higher, or any graduate-level course, numbered 6000 or higher, offered by the Business School with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better, earn a B+ or better in BUSN 6550 - Analyzing and Interpreting Accounting Information.
This certificate consists of three classes (9 credits), BUSN 6520, – Leading Individuals & Teams, BUSN 6550 – Analyzing and Interpreting Accounting Information, and a Business Free Elective, which may be applied to the Denver Flex MBA or Online MBA program (if you are admitted).
