For-credit certificates are often used as a starting point for a business degree or to receive more formal accreditation in a specific area. We offer a number of different options depending on where you are in your education. A post-bachelor certificate is a great way to sample graduate courses before committing to a graduate degree.
Our post-bachelor certificates are intended to give anyone with an undergraduate degree in any discipline access to graduate business courses. These certificates can help you grow in your current job or give you the knowledge to launch your own company. Should you decide to pursue a graduate degree, these courses are for credit and fully transferable.
General Business Certificate
This certificate is offered to students or professionals who want to get a head start on their academic careers without the commitment of a full graduate program. By completing this certification, you will be able to waive the GMAT score from your application should you decide to pursue a Professional MBA at CU Denver.
Bioinnovation Certificate
This Bioinnovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate provides students the opportunity to gain insight into the rapidly growing field of bioinnovation. Taking advantage of the incredible Colorado biocluster, in collaboration with faculty at Anschutz Medical Campus, this certificate is one-of-a-kind and geared toward helping bioentrepreneurs achieve commercial success.
Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Certificate
This certificate places particular emphasis on the use of tools and technologies for information assurance rather than on design and development of protocols to secure an enterprise infrastructure.
Digital Marketing

Entrepreneurship Certificate
This three-course undergraduate certificate is intended for non-degree students who want to expand their business knowledge and give themselves a competitive advantage when they enter the workforce.
Global Energy Management Certificate
This certificate provides you with the opportunity to broaden your understanding of the worldwide energy marketplace. You can tailor learning into specific areas of interest and skills such as geo-economics, policy, financial management, and leadership. Coursework and assignments are focused 100% on the energy industry provide practical skills and knowledge that can be applied immediately.
Managing for Sustainability Certificate
This certificate is designed for business professionals seeking a deeper understanding of sustainability and the technical knowledge to lead sustainability initiatives in your companies.
Risk Management and Insurance Certificate
By completing four semester-long risk management courses, you will be on your way to enhancing your personal knowledge and providing your employer with RMI awareness and professional skills. This certificate can be completed entirely online.
How to Apply
Admission to our post-bachelor certificates is open to recent non-business undergraduate graduates and professionals. Candidates must have graduated with a current cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (2.5 for Digital Marketing) or higher
Applicants are required to submit all application materials including the online application and copy of your degree bearing transcripts. As an applicant, please fill the online application out as the following for the Academic Interests page:

These certificates are offered in specialized business areas and designed to update skillsets or explore a new area of business. Courses are tailored to the working professional with online and evening class options. Some post-graduate certificates require prior knowledge in the area being studied.

You will complete four graduate courses and the credit can be put towards a second graduate business degree, should you choose to expand your knowledge further. We currently offer post-graduate certificates in:

How to Apply
Admission to our post-graduate certificates is open to any professional who has completed his or her MBA or MS degree from any AACSB accredited business school. Candidates must also have graduated with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Applicants are required to submit all application materials including the online application and copy of your degree bearing transcripts. As an applicant, please fill the online application out as the following for the Academic Interests page:

Start your application as a certificate student
Post-graduate certificate students are not eligible for financial aid, tuition assistance, or most scholarships.
Our undergraduate certificates are intended to help anyone with a high school diploma expand his or her business knowledge. You do not need to have completed an undergraduate degree by the time of admission. You can also be enrolled at a different university and still receive this certificate. Undergraduate credit can be earned as a part the certificate and could count towards your undergraduate degree at another university.
Risk Management and Insurance Certificate
By completing three semester-long risk management courses, all available online, you will be on your way to enhancing your personal knowledge and providing your employer with RMI awareness and professional skills. This certificate can be completed entirely online.
Commodities Certificate
The Commodities Certificate will prepare you for a career where commodities play a major role in operations. Coursework integrates industry operating procedures and standards, including regulations, and compliance. The certificate emphasizes markets, supply chain, and forecasting supply and demand functions.
How to Apply
Admission to our undergraduate certificates is open to recent non-business undergraduate students and professionals. The RMI certificate is also open to current undergraduate students. Candidates must have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
