If you are an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a RISK class, you can apply for an RMI scholarship during the fall or spring semester you are enrolled in. Scholarships range from $200 to $3,500. We award around $50,000 in scholarships every year.

Colorado's Risk Management and Insurance Industry generously provides scholarships for students taking RMI courses at the CU Denver Business School. Fifty percent of the industry is retiring within the next ten years, and the industry is working to encourage college students to consider risk and insurance as a career path. 

Eligibility:

• Enrolled in a 3-credit RISK course during the semester, the RMI Scholarship is awarded.
• Applications are due the Saturday after the start of classes each Fall and Spring semester.
• RMI majors, minors, and specializations, as well as students engaged in RMI and RMI industry activities, usually are awarded the largest scholarships. GPA is also considered. All majors and specializations are considered for scholarship awards. 
• Most qualified students who apply will receive an RMI Scholarship
• If you drop a RISK course before the census date, you will lose any RISK scholarship award amount received for that course
