Health Administration Current Students

Our resources help you make the most of your degree. As a student in the Health Administration program, you have unparalleled opportunities to expand your knowledge and the support you need to succeed when you graduate.

Internships

During your degree, you may choose to pursue an administrative internship, which will offer you a rewarding, hands-on experience at one of Colorado’s many healthcare organizations. Our students have completed internships at hospitals, consulting firms, medical practices, and more. For more information on internships, talk to.  [this is propsective content, HOW DO YOU GET THIS GOING WHEN YOU'RE IN THE PROGRAM? Healthcare Field Study

At the end of your degree, you will take the capstone Healthcare Field Study course, where you will be paired with a healthcare organization and complete a real-world project tailored to your skills, interests, and post-graduation goals. This is not only an excellent experiential opportunity, but a chance to build your professional network and connect with industry leaders. [this is propsective content, HOW DO YOU GET THIS GOING WHEN YOU'RE IN THE PROGRAM? These positions are 1-2 years in length and provide a broad range of experiences in hospital operations, health plan management, physician group practice administration, and a variety of corporate support functions including healthcare finance, quality improvement, and strategic planning. For more on post-graduate fellowships and residencies, browse fellowship resources from our alumni association, the Colorado Health Administration Alumni Association (CHAAA). To access informational fellowship webinars by CU Denver alumni, click here.
