Your Student Portal will allow you access to your transcripts, financial aid information, and other CU Denver resources. 

• Have your university ID number available to complete this step (your university ID is in your offer letter; please contact the program staff if you need this information resent to you.)
• You may bookmark the student portal: UCDAccess

To access your account you need to first create a password. 

• ALL correspondence from the EMBA program staff and faculty will come through this university email account. 
• Please disregard automated emails from the CU Denver system. You will be contacted by EMBA program staff directly for program information pertinent to the EMBA. 
• You may set up email forwarding to a personal account to help you stay on top of messages, announcements, and other important CU Denver communications, but please make sure that your ucdenver.edu address is activated.

Please sign into Canvas, the university LMS system: https://ucdenver.instructure.com/

• Log in with the same university ID and password that you use for your student portal and/or university email.
• Select the Executive MBA Cohort 45 tile and follow the modules for your pre-orientation to-do list.
  • We will post all EMBA administrative materials in this Canvas tile.
• Here’s a quick overview of Canvas from the University’s IT department. You can add a Canvas app to your cell phone, too.

If you would like extra preparation for the quantitative courses in the program, we offer self-guided online learning in finance, statistics, economics, and Excel through MBAmath.com. Please contact Victor.Sanchez@ucdenver.edu to receive an MBA Math account access code.

There will be two days of Orientation. The first day will be for introductions and information about the program. The second day will consist of a team building exercise and a light hike. More information on the hike can be found here. For questions, reach out to Victor.Sanchez@ucdenver.edu.

The program is eight, eight-week terms, spanning 18 months. The 45-credit hour program consists of core courses, electives, and an international trip. The EMBA is designed as a lockstep curriculum, where all courses will be taken with your cohort. This unique structure supports building lasting relationships with a network of your peers and creates an enriching learning environment, with no career disruption. 

Estimated time commitment: 

You should expect approximately 16 hours a month for in-person classes, eight hours for each synchronous online class day, and another 10-15 hours a week for homework, studying, and group projects outside of class. Additionally, students will spend 12-14 days traveling internationally during the international course.
