Lifecycle of Oil and Natural Gas

The Lifecycle of Oil and Natural Gas Certificate is designed to educate professionals within the energy industry and those on the periphery, about the complete lifecycle of oil and natural gas resources. Topics explore everything from geology to accessing land, drilling and completions, upstream marketing and managing risk. The goal of the course is to provide a high level of understanding of the multiple processes, technologies and components used by geologists and engineers to find and produce fossil fuels, as well as gain a basic understanding of land, financing, marketing, regulatory requirements and government/public relations.

Designed to provide a high level of understanding of the life cycle of oil and gas. Answers basic questions such as: Where is it? How does the industry get it out of the ground? Where does it go? What are the financial environmental risks and financial rewards? The course spans topics from discovering oil and gas, land administration, extraction, refining, treating, storing, marketing, trading, financing, and managing risk.
