Lifecycle of Oil and Natural Gas Certificate

This certificate is designed for professionals new to the oil and gas sector or related business and policymaking activities.  The two-day program provides an introduction to basic scientific, engineering, business, and geopolitical considerations necessary to understand the production and sale of oil and gas. The program is offered twice a year, in Spring and Fall.

Course Schedule:

Thursday, May 15 & Friday, May 16 at the CU Denver Business School, 1475 Lawrence Street, Denver, CO 80202.

Day 1 - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Day 2 - 7:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (rig tour in the morning)

Breakfast and lunch for both days, as well as travel to the rig tour site, are included in the course cost.

Curriculum

This course explores everything from geology to accessing land to drilling to managing risk. Upon completing this course, participants will gain a high-level understanding of the technologies, processes, and investment strategies used in the exploration and production of oil and gas.
