Angela Blair

Angela Blair, MBA, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, AIC, is a lifelong learner and champion of people development and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. She has extensive experience in insurance, risk management, and healthcare industries. Angela spent more than two decades working at State Farm Insurance where she progressed through multiple leadership positions and disciplines ranging from learning and development, human resources, claims, underwriting, agency, supplier diversity, procurement, and information technology. 

Angela also spent eight years working in the healthcare industry, most recently at Highmark Health in human resources as director of enterprise talent, diversity programs. In this role, she oversaw important HR diversity and inclusion initiatives for the company, including executive leadership development programs, middle management development programs, and workforce development initiatives, and led the Human Resources Inclusion Council.

Angela is an adjunct faculty instructor at the University of Colorado, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in the School of Business, Risk Management, and Insurance program.  

Angela earned a master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and a bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). She has earned multiple designations and certifications in insurance, change management, Six Sigma, human resources, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Angela is active in the community, serving on the executive leadership council for the American Diabetes Association, a member of the CPCU Society IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Awareness) committee, a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), and a member of the Association of Talent Development (ATD).
