Mohammad Riaz Uddin is an Associate Teaching Professor of Finance and TIPS Division/CETL Faculty Fellow at CU Denver Business School. He received a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington, an MS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was a Fulbright fellow. He received the Outstanding Paper Award in Corporate Finance at the 2024 SFA Annual Conference, the Financial Management Editors' Best Paper Award in Spring 2017, and the Outstanding Paper in the 2016 Emerald Literati Network Awards for excellence for his research works. Before joining CU Denver, Dr. Uddin taught at Marshall University, the American University of Beirut, the University of Dhaka, North South University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. His teaching interests include investments and corporate finance. His research interests include corporate finance, investments, political economy, insider trading, corporate intangibles, and behavioral biases. Dr. Uddin's research has appeared in many leading Finance journals, including Financial Management, the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, and the Journal of Behavioral Finance.
