Business Student Ambassador Committee (BSAC)

The mission of the Business Student Ambassador Committee is to advance student leadership and success within the CU Denver Business School while building lasting relationships between students, alumni, business professionals, and the community. Through social outreach, professional opportunities, and diverse community experiences, members create new connections, strengthen existing ones, and gain the confidence to thrive in a dynamic business environment. We are privileged to represent the CU Denver Business School and are committed to upholding its mission, vision, and values as lifelong ambassadors.

As a member, you will access resources that promote leadership within the CU Denver Business School and build meaningful relationships with students, alumni, and community partners. You will get hands-on experience planning and leading events, dinners, pop-ups, and beverage stations while exploring your interests and developing professional skills. Members can discover potential career paths and find their place in the organization regardless of business major or undeclared status.

Meetings are held at least once per month during the fall and spring semesters. Members are expected to attend all meetings. If you cannot attend, notify the President or Vice President at least 24 hours in advance. Additional meetings may be called as needed for speakers, socials, networking events, or other activities.

Enrichment: This team focuses on member growth and learning. They organize guest speakers from the business world, coordinate shadowing opportunities that allow members to observe professionals in action, and plan training sessions to develop skills such as public speaking, leadership, and teamwork. Their goal is to ensure members gain practical experience and insights that go beyond the classroom.
Finance: This group manages all the club's money-related aspects. They handle fundraising initiatives, collect member dues, and decide how funds are allocated for events and resources. A strong finance team ensures the club has the budget to run workshops, social events, and professional development activities without interruption.
Social: Responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging environment, this team plans events, including community service projects, networking gatherings, and informal social activities such as parties and mixers. They focus on fostering relationships among members, alumni, and the broader community, helping the club feel connected and vibrant.
Recruiting: This team brings in new members and ensures they are integrated successfully. They handle marketing efforts such as creating promotional materials and social media posts, conduct interviews to select new members, and organize orientation sessions to introduce newcomers to the club's mission, activities, and culture. Their work keeps the club dynamic and growing.

Fill out the online application form. Submit an unofficial transcript, cover letter, and resume. Applicants will be notified within one week after their interview regarding membership status.

Qualifications:

Undergraduates with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Graduates with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Preferred leadership experience, strong communication, professionalism, commitment, personable or outgoing
Must stay in good academic standing and actively participate

PLEASE NOTE: A $10 fee per semester is required for ALL members of the Business Student Ambassador Committee
